About Us
The One Foundation is a private philanthropic trust, founded in 2004 by Dr Dec Ryan. Dec firmly believes in the power of ‘active philanthropy’ to generate long-term solutions to address entrenched and emerging social issues. We invest funds, skills, expertise, and other resources in organisations that share our vision, ethos, and values and help them make a step change in impact.

We incubate new ideas and work with organisations to effect positive social change. We are agile in the pursuit of our long-term strategy, enabling us to respond quickly and effectively to sudden crises that require a rapid response.
How We Work
We understand that change is slow and incremental, which is why we support long term work and work that brings about innovative and transformational change. The One Foundation places an emphasis on supporting people who are marginalised and oppressed and people with lived experience our immigration and protection systems.
